Inexpensive, yet quality housing can be found throughout the Fairbanks North Star Borough. Here, you will find a wide range of housing options from rustic cabins without running water to grand multimillion dollar properties. Like anything in Fairbanks, housing options are largely a reflection of the individuals who inhabit them.

There are an abundant amount of housing options around Fairbanks. Rentals range from houses, duplexes, apartments, cabins, and dry cabins (cabins without running water). House rentals do not generally include utilities.

If you are looking to buy, you will still need to decide whether you want to purchase a condominium, attached home, single family home or build on land that you purchase.  Home prices vary greatly, however, based on home size, location, and lot size.

No matter you preferences, Fairbanks has a housing option that will fit your lifestyle and your needs. The FNSB Community Research Quarterly has information for the current average price for both rentals and houses in and around Fairbanks.
For more information on both renting and purchasing a home search, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, and the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
